Organization Name

Use the ORGANIZATION segment to find information about a particular organization. For example, take the following steps to find Red Cross locations in Oklahoma:

  1. Click the Search tab.
  2. Click the Legal source tab.
  3. Click the following links in the order listed to search Encyclopedia of Associations®:
    Reference / Directories / Encyclopedia of Associations

Organizations within an Area Code

Use the TELEPHONE segment to find local nonprofit associations using a particular area code. For example, take the following steps to find organizations in the 937 area code:

  1. Click the Search tab.
  2. Click the Legal source tab.
  3. Click the following links in the order listed to search Encyclopedia of Associations®:

Use the INDUSTRY-TYPE segment to find information about nonprofit associations. For example, take the following steps to find social welfare organizations in Ohio:

  1. Click the Search tab.
  2. Click the Legal source tab.

Use the DESCRIPTION segment to find information on particular kinds of nonprofit associations. For example, take the following steps to find nonprofit life insurance organizations that have a budget greater than $500,000:

  1. Click the Search tab.
  2. Click the Legal source tab.
  3. Click the following links in the order listed to search Encyclopedia of Associations®:

    NOTE: The REVENUES segment denotes the dollar amount for the organizations budget.

The REVENUE segment is arithmetically searchable. Use this segment to find budget information.

Use the KEY-FINANCIALS segment to find the annual budget amounts for nonprofit organizations. For example, take the following steps to find the budget amount for American Red Cross organizations:

  1. Click the Search tab.
  2. Click the Legal source tab.
  3. Click the following links in the order listed to search Encyclopedia of Associations®:
